Green Bike Program

Green Bike Program
Mayor Jim Schmitt unveiled the latest project of his Sustainable Greater Green Bay initiative, the Green Bike Program. Twenty bikes will be dispersed at six bike rack locations throughout downtown. The bikes, repaired and repainted a bright green, were either donated or were unclaimed bikes picked up by Green Bay Police. This free service is intended to offer exercise, reduce pollution and fuel consumption, and reduce traffic congestion. Users are encouraged to return the bike to one of the designated rakes at the end of the day.
